I’ve been working on this blog for a while in my mind, and I think it’s time to do something with it.
I don’t expect it to change the world. I don’t expect that the lady with her cart of things is suddenly not going to be at the corner, but instead in a civilived little house with fresh peach curtains. It’s be nice, but I’m not sure the world cares enough– or places appreciation on people and who they are inside rather than what they have in their wallets.
Some of this is intended to talk about the humor of poverty. For the down and out who make it to a compuiter, some of them may get a laugh. Some of them may feel less alone. If that happens, I did my job.
I’m also adding resourse’s for those who need them, anything I come across that could be helpful to someone. If you read this and have additional ideas and reasources you’d like to share, please e-mail me or comment as this blog developes.
Sometimes the poor have more fun, genuine lives; and sometimes they are more rich in compassion and wisdom than the guy with the mansion up the street. Not that he might not be a cool chap too, but the life expreiences one gains through struggle and suffering undniably develope character.
